Just minutes before the last hour until voting stations close their doors, Bush Radio correspondents spoke to various political parties’ representatives to find out how their day went as well as how they feel about the elections.
ANC’s Yonela Diko said “We still wish to appeal to people as this opportunity only comes once in a while”, COPE’s Dennis Bloem confidently told us ”We are satisfied and very much optimistic about our performance” while Patricia De Lille of the DA also seemed positive and emphasized that “Every vote is needed”.
The EFF let us know that they hope to achieve at least 12 – 15% of total votes within the Western Cape and PAC’s Thulani Pike told us that they face challenges as party agents were not allowed on most voting grounds due to miscommunication between them and the IEC but he says they are confident about the end result of this day.
Members of the public who are registered and still have not voted are encouraged to do so within the next few minutes.
