An unknown group of illegal miners went underground in a
Laanglagte mine shaft in Vereeniging.
It is believed that the two groups went into the mine on
Wednesday and Thursday, however they did not come out afterwards.
A rescue team alongside the South African Police Service
are assisting in rescuing the group.
It is still not clear as to why they went underground.
