Madonsela says SA needs to prioritise, invest more in quality education

Public Protector Thuli Madonsela says South Africa needs to prioritise and invest more in quality education.

Madonsela expressed disappointment in the financial investment made by government towards the sector saying it’s not enough to ensure the best quality education for the country.

Madonsela was the main speaker at a prestige lecture at the North West University, in Mahikeng.

Students and lecturers came in their numbers to attend the event.

The theme: Challenges faced by higher education institutions: Students' demands versus Government responses.



During her address, Madonsela said that South Africa is not investing enough in education was a concern.
