The department of education in the Western Cape has given Sans Souci High School one month to come up with a new code of conduct.

This is after students protested and made racism allegations against the school on Friday. Amongst the allegations were claims that the students are only allowed to use the bathrooms five times a year.

Education MEC Debbie Schafer said in a statement she wants to see a new code of conduct by the end of September 2016, adopted by the governing body after an inclusive process has been followed.

This was after she had met with past and present students of the High School together with their parents.
