A security guard was allegedly
assaulted during a robbery at a construction site on Lazaar Avenue and corner
Malan Street in Randfontein.
The security guard was found
by workers on site at about 06h00 this morning.
He sustained moderate injuries.
The exact detail to the cause
of the incident is unknown at this stage but authorities are investigating.
Emergency services arrived on the
scene and they managed to stabilise the guard before transporting him to a
nearby hospital for further medical care.
