Briefing for upcoming matric exams

The Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training Umalusi, is expected to brief the media on its readiness for the 2016 matric exams today.

The briefing will take place at the University of Johannesburg’s Bunting Road campus.

Despite disruptions in some parts of the country just last month, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga said her department was confident matric pupils would be ready to write their exams.

Examinations are scheduled to start later in October and conclude on November 29
