Families of former residents of Life Esidimeni are holding
a Prayer Vigil and Demonstration in remembrance of the 37 lives lost and in
solidarity with patients who are still in various NGOs.
The Vigil and Demonstration will be held outside the
Gauteng Department of Health on Thursday, 27 October 2016.
The Families will be handing over a memorandum to the MEC
of Health, Qedani Mahlangu, at the Vigil, as well as releasing a statement.
Various family members will be sharing their testimonies of
how their loved ones died and the impact on them.
