A
man was killed on the N3 near the Hayfields split in Pietermaritzburg.
Shortly
after 7pm paramedics were reportedly approached by bystanders and informed that
a pedestrian was knocked down on the highway.
Emergency
services made their way to the scene and found the man in the road with no
signs of life. He was declared dead on the scene.
Reports
say the occupants of the vehicle were assessed by paramedics. They did not
sustain any injuries.
