Cape Town school reeling after dad kills Grade 1 boy then shoots himself


Teachers are reeling after receiving news that their grade1 pupil was shot dead by his own father. Dylan Neethling who was a grade one student at Panorama Primary School Welgelegen in Cape Town was shot by his own father in the early hours 9of Sunday morning, the father also shot himself after the incident.

Teachers and parents from the school shared heartfelt condolences to the family on social media and one parent wrote "Sincere condolences to his mom and family. May his little soul rest in peace." The Western Cape police said the matter was being investigated further and they were try to find the motive for the ruthless killing of a young boy who had a bright future. Teachers at his school said Dylan was an active boy who played Rugby and participated in school activities.

According to police records the father had no previous criminal record and was clean so it confuses them as to why would he do such tremendous deed. The Western Cape police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk said will continue being investigated until something comes up.
