Kraaifontein police arrested two alleged gang members for a double murder in Scottsdene.
‘’The suspects aged 18 and 27 was traced to
Klipbok Street, Scottsdene and arrested for the murder after they chased and
fatally shot two males aged 19 and 27 in Rustic Street, Kraaifontein on
Thursday, 8 April 2021 at around 10:25.’’ Said Captain FC van Wyk
‘’The victims died at the scene of the
shooting. The suspects fled the scene of the crime.’’ Added van Wyk
The suspects will appear in the Blue Downs
Regional Court once charged.
‘’Investigations are continuing to recover the
firearm used to commit the murder.’’ He added.

Thembisile Patekile thanked the members for
their quick response in following up on the information provided and arresting
the suspects.
He also thanked the community for providing the
information that led to the arrest of the perpetrators. He further warned
criminals, especially gang members that everything possible will be done to
trace and arrest them.
