Business Unity South Africa (Busa) has announced that Jabu Mabuza has passed away. Busa said that it was a tragic and devastating loss for business in South Africa.
Mabuza (63), who is the former chair of Eskom,
passed away on Wednesday, 16 June 2021 due to covid-19 complications.
His family thanked the country for all their
support and condolences and asked for privacy during this difficult time.
Sipho Pityana, Busa president, said that Mabuza
became a powerhouse in South Africa’s economy and was a role model to all.
Mabuza also occupied several leadership positions in both the corporate and
public sectors.
