Eskom warns of possible load shedding



Eskom urges South Africans to use electricity sparingly citing possible load shedding.

The South African Weather Service has warned of heavy rain, and gale force winds that is expected across the country this week.

"The cold front will increase the demand for electricity thereby putting pressure on the power system," it said in a statement.

Rolling blackouts was last implement on 14 June, due to some improvement in the performance of the Generation system and according to the parastatal, "the system is currently performing relatively well."
