Delft police looking for suspect who killed a debuty Chairperson

The Delft Community Police Forum (CPF) has called for a cash reward to be offered for information in connection with the killing of its deputy chairperson Jamiel Spanenberg on Saturday morning.

The 50-year-old man was shot and killed in what was suspected to be a robbery of his truck in Mozart Street, Delft South.

Police spokesperson Andre Traut said the suspect fled with the victim’s licensed firearm and is yet to be arrested.

Delft CPF chairperson Reginald Maart said a reward would give residents who have any information to help bring the perpetrators to book.
