Man found with multiple gunshot wounds in Manenberg

Manenberg police are investigating a case of murder, after officers found the body of a 34-year-old man who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his head and upper body on the corners of Duinefontein & Tee Jordaan Street on Friday morning

The police’s Joseph Swartbooi said that the motive for the attack is unknown, and that a 25-year-old man has since been arrested.

‘’Information of a second suspect was pursued by the police members amidst being attacked by community which resulted in the recovery of a 9mm pistol with ammunition abandoned.’’

‘’Our officers will remain in the area, doing what they are mandated to do, and the community will feel our presence which is simply to create a safer environment for all,’’ added Swartbooi.
