Notorious Elsies River gangster sentenced to 12 years imprisonment
A notorious gang member in Elsies River, Romano Abrahams, was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment in the Parow regional Court.
‘’The accused was arrested on the 8th of September 2020 for the possession of a prohibited firearm. Members were doing patrols when they spotted the suspect in Snarebrook Road, Epping Forest. As they were approaching, he attempted to escape and dropped a firearm. The suspect was apprehended and the firearm was seized. The 25-year-old was sentenced on the 25th of March. Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lt. Gen., Thembisile Patekile, says Abrahams sentence should come as a warning to other gang members.
