Pete Mahalik’s murder case has once again postponed

Pete Mahalik’s murder case has once again been postponed by the Western Cape High Court on Monday, because a State witness was too ill to testify.

According to reports the case will resume on Tuesday, along with the trio accused of executing a hit on the criminal lawyer with further evidence being presented by the State.

Sizwe Biyela, Nkosinathi Khumalo and Vuyile Maliti, pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mihalik, who was shot dead when he took his children to school in Green Point on 30 October 2018. One of the key images the State is using to link Biyela to the murder was taken from CCTV footage of Mihalik's Mercedes-Benz SUV, that captured a man walking towards the vehicle and firing two shots.

While the case is expected to resume tomorrow, a different witness will be taking a stand in court.
