Woman rights group waiting on identity of man accused of killing six women

The case against 21 year old murder accused of killing six woman, was suspended until 21 October.

This is after the suspect made a court appearance on Tuesday, following last week’s gruesome discovery of the alleged sex workers in Johannesburg. Police were alerted by worker who found the bodies at a car repair workshop while investigating the disappearance of one sex worker who was allegedly last seen with the suspect.

According to reports, some of the bodies were found with their hands tied, also believed to have been in the building for a long period. The National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa (NPA) said that delays in the murder case, does not augur well for public confidence in the institution, after they failed to conduct an identity parade last week. During his appearance on Tuesday, many South African women's rights groups and sex workers demonstrated outside court.

As investigation are still ongoing the suspect currently only faces one count of murder.
