Eskom implements stage 3 load shedding

Power Utility Eskom implemented stage 3 load shedding on Tuesday from 4 pm until 5 am on Wednesday morning.

The implementation of load shedding comes after Eskom halted power cuts due to the Christmas holiday on Sunday.

Eskom spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshathsa said stage 3 loadshedding will be implemented from 4 pm on Tuesday until 5 am on Wednesday.

“This will be repeated everyday for the remainder of the week. Thereafter, Stage 2 power cuts will take effect from 5 am on Wednesday until 4 pm,” he said.

He then cautioned the public to conserve as much electricity as possible during this period.
