Welkom Police in search for a missing young man

Welkom SAPS seek help in locating missing Junior Mafatle from Riebeeckstad. The 18-year-old man was last seen on Monday at about 12:30 when he was at Checkers Centre with his father.

According to Captain Stephen Thakeng, Mafatle told his father he was going to his friends in Goldfields Mall and he never returned home. Efforts to make contact with him on his cell phone and to locate him at friends were unsuccessful.

Mafatle was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, Nike sneakers, a black and green t-shirt, he has no tattoos on his body and he attends school at Edmond Rise in Welkom.

A missing person’s case was registered for further investigation.
