Alert: Fire and Rescue Service attending to a fire in Boyes Drive

The City of Cape Town’s fire and Rescue Service is currently making efforts to contain a massive fire that broke out in Lakes side.

Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson, Edward Bosch said that officials are attending to a large area of mountain slopes alight along Boyes Drive.

“Four firefighting vehicles are currently on scene, commencing with firefighting efforts. Further resources are on route. We also have three helicopters on scene water bombing the area” said Bosch.

Multiple fires have broken out in Cape Town communities as of recent and have rapidly spread to surrounding areas, leaving over hundreds without home.
