Teen killed, and five year old severely injured in a drive-by shooting in Manenberg

A 17-year-old was killed and a five-year-old severely injured on Saturday morning in a drive-by shooting in Manenberg.

The suspects allegedly fired gunshots down Thames Avenue before fleeing the scene.

Police say the teen died of his injuries before he could receive medical care, while the five-year-old was shot in the head and is currently in critical condition.

Western Cape Provincial Minister of Community Safety and Police Oversight Minister Reagen Ivan Allen said that a manhunt for the suspects is underway.
