Two people shot and killed in Mitchells Plain
On Thursday, 13 April City Law Enforcement LEAP arrested a suspect involved in the shooting and murder of two people in Mitchells Plain.
Officers were patrolling on AZ Berman drive in when they
spotted a male dressed in a Grey jacket and Grey pants shooting at a group of
people on Morgenster Drive.
According to the City of Cape Town Law Enforcement
Spokesperson, Wayne Dyason, the officers chased him and managed to catch up
with the suspect.
“On approaching the suspect he pointed his firearm at the
officers but they discharged several warning shots to discourage him from
firing on the officers. They then managed to disarm him and take him into
custody.”
The suspect was
armed with a 357 revolver.
