Kenilworth store robbed of undisclosed amount of cash

Claremont police are on the hunt for suspects who robbed a retail store in Kenilworth, on Monday morning.

The police’s Malcolm Pojie said unknown assailants, pretending to be customers, accosted cashiers at SuperSpar in Rosmead Avenue, where one of the suspects who was armed with a firearm threatened employees, demanding cash.

‘’He was joined by other suspects before they fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the premises,’’ said Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie.

He added that no one was injured during the ordeal.
