Police arrested two people for charges of murder in Potchefstroom

The SAPS of Potchefstroom arrested two suspects, aged 45 and 47 on Sunday in Kameeldrift. Members of the police were conducting patrols when they saw a suspicious vehicle and a chase ensued.

The members managed to pull the vehicle over and conducted a search, during the search they found a lifeless body of a 45-year-old man covered with plastics bags at the back of the vehicle.

The suspects tried to run away but were arrested, reports say the suspects allegedly assaulted the man who was in their farm to fetch water.

According to police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena, investigations continue and the suspects are expected to appear before the Brits Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday for murder.
