Police arrested a suspect for murder and attempted murder in Wesbank

Mfuleni Crime Intelligence arrested an adult male for murder and attempted murder in the Wesbank on Thursday morning, 9 November.

According to the police’s Anelisiwe Manyana, the members attended to a shooting complaint on Sunday, 5 November at Ouplaas Street, Wesbank, where they found a 12-year-old girl and three other kids with gunshot wounds.

Upon investigations, officers received information about the whereabouts of the suspect and they operationalised the information and responded to the identified address. They found the suspect at the identified premises, arrested him on charges of murder, and attempted murder.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 10 November on the mentioned charges.
