Baby's body found in Mitchell's Plain; Man's body found in Gugulethu

Mitchell’s Plain police are investigating a concealment of birth case after a fully formed baby was found in a bag in Bayern Munich Street, Tafelsig on Monday evening.

The police’s Wesley Twigg said the bag was discovered by a community member at around 8p.m

Meanwhile, Gugulethu police are investigating a murder case after the body of a man was discovered on the corner of NY81 and NY83 on Monday morning at about 05:00.

‘’The victim sustained multiple injuries to his body and was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation. The suspect/s are yet to be arrested,’’ said Warrant Officer, Joseph Swartbooi.
