Western Cape police arrested three suspects in Saron on Saturday for a business robbery.
According to the police spokesperson, Warrant Officer
Joseph Swartbooi, officials attached to the Saron police station were busy with
patrols when they received information about the business robbery. They
identified the vehicle involved in the robbery, and the driver attempted to
escape the arrest.
A chase ensued and they successfully recovered a firearm
and allegedly stolen goods.
"While patrolling the provincial R46 road, they
located the vehicle, which resulted in a high-speed chase. The chase came to a
halt when the police members stopped the vehicle near Riebeek-Kasteel,"
said Swartbooi.
Police added that the suspects will appear in the Tulbagh
Magistrate's court once they had been charged.
