Duo accused of murdering cop in Khayelitsha intends to apply for bail

Two men who are accused of being involved in the murder of a police officer, intends to apply for bail, on Thursday.

Sergeant Silulami Qagana 40, was one of two people killed in Site C, Khayelitsha, nearly two weeks ago. The officer, who was stationed at Cape Town Central SAPS, was off duty at the time. The duo succumbed to gunshot wounds to their bodies in hospital.

The suspects, Sinethemba Peter(32) and Khanyile Yiweni(24) made their first court appearance, last Friday, but they will reappear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court on Thursday.
