Many suspects were taken into custody by law enforcement in Cape Town.

For a variety of offenses over the weekend, 313 suspects were detained by Cape Town law enforcement. Murder, attempted murder, drug possession, and stealing were among these offenses.

Medicine and tower batteries were among the stolen goods that the officers seized. Thirteen cell phone tower batteries were found at Elsies River, leading to the arrest of four males.

The activities over the weekend were spectacular, according to JP Smith, a member of the City of Cape Town Mayoral Committee for Community and Safety.

“It has been an impressive weekend of confiscations for law enforcement services from back up batteries to medicine and a shopping bag of Mandrax with an estimated street value of more than R100.000”, said City of Cape Town Mayoral Committee for Community and Safety, JP Smith.
