Joshlin Smith from Saldanha Bay has been missing since February 19th. The community has been deeply concerned about her whereabouts.

Four individuals—Joshlin’s mother, Racquel Smith, her boyfriend Jacquen ‘Boeta’ Appolis, Stevano van Rhyn, and Lourentia Lombaard—are currently in custody, facing charges of kidnapping and human trafficking for exploitation. Their appearance in the Vredenburg Magistrate’s Court today has sparked both interest and frustration among those following the case.

During the court session the State informed that the investigation into Joshlin’s disappearance is still ongoing. They are actively looking into all information received by the police. Forensic reports and cellphone data related to the case are being thoroughly analyzed. The State requested further time for the investigation, leading to the postponement of the case.

The magistrate has postponed the matter to July 15th. Despite the passing months since her disappearance, the community remains determined to uncover the truth and bring Joshlin home safely.
