A man was arrested in Groot Brakrivier after the police caught him with more than a thousand pain tablets. According to the police’s Wesley Twigg, officers received information that the man was illegally selling the medication in Greenhaven.
Twigg explained that a search warrant led to a joint operation between the Groot Brakrivier police and Mossel Bay law enforcement officers, raiding the relevant premises on Tuesday. They confiscated approximately 1200 stilpayne tablets and arrested the man.

The suspect will soon
appear before the Mossel Bay Magistrate’s Court on charges under the Medicines
and Related Substances Act.
