The 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

In a separate incident in Atlantis, police officers on patrol in Protea Park responded to a tip-off about a man illegally carrying a firearm. The officers located the suspect on Lenaria Street. Upon searching the 19-year-old, they discovered and confiscated a pistol and ammunition. He was detained on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
