The case against the teenage boy who was arrested on Saturday for the murder of 16-year-old Deveney Nel has been postponed to next month
The 17-year-old suspect, who cannot be named as
he is underage, appeared in the Caledon Magistrates Court Monday morning .
“The suspect will remain in custody at the
Outenikwa Place of Security until he has to appear in court again next month”, said,
NPA spokesperson, Eric Ntabazalila.
Deveney, a pupil of the Overberg High School, was found dead in a storage room at the school 2 weeks ago, after her mother reported her missing. She bled to death from the wounds she sustained.

asked for the community to allow the law to take its course.
