Authorities have urged the community to come forward with information regarding a fatal stabbing incident of a learner from Paulus Joubert Secondary School in Paarl.
It is understood 19-year-old Lee-Hogan Williams and his
friend were robbed in the Fairyland Cemetery on Friday night.
The attack took place exactly a month after the head boy of
the same school also died in a stabbing incident. He was reportedly stabbed in
the neck by his cousin in their home, last month.
This is the second Western Cape learner to die from stab
wounds in two weeks, after Deveney Nel was killed in Caledon.
Western Cape Police Oversight and Community Safety MEC,
Anroux Marais, condemned the incident.
‘’My plea is to any member of the public with information
on the murder to please contact the South African Police Service urgently. This
violence against the school-going youth of the Western Cape cannot stand.
Together we can beat crime,’’ she added.
The MEC called on the public to come forward with
information regarding the incident by contacting Crime Stop on 08600 10111
