The case against the 25-year-old suspect who attacked his grandmother in Langa was postponed

The case against the 25-year-old suspect who attacked his grandmother in Langa was heard before the Parow Regional Court on Tuesday.

The suspect physically attacked and vandalized the home of the 85-year-old victim, by breaking her washing machine and a fridge. The altercation begin when the 85-year-old refused the suspect's request to allow his girlfriend to sleep over.

The accused is still in custody, as his R500 bail, which was granted in magistrate court, has not yet been paid.

The matter was postponed and will be heard again in court on 5 November 2024 for outcome of consultation with new legal representation.
