An alleged gangster of the Americans was fatally shot outside the Athlone magistrates Court, which is meters away from the Athlone police station.

murder of the 43-year-old man.
‘’According to reports the deceased was sitting on the
pavement at the mentioned address, opposite the Athlone Magistrates court. An
unidentified male walked up to him and fired several gunshots at him. He died
on the scene due to injuries sustained,’’ said Captain F.C Van Wyk, Western
Cape police spokesperson.
He said the motive for the incident is under investigation
and that the suspect fled the scene and is yet to be arrested.
Last Thursday, an alleged gang leader of the Junky Funky
Kidz (JFK) in Lavender Hill has been shot and killed outside the Brackenfell police station. It is understood that he went to the police station to sign for
his bail conditions. Police confirmed to Bush Radio News that a shooting
incident took place just before 10a.m on Thursday, fatally injuring Ashley
Phillips, also known as Essie.
