Police are probing a fatal shooting in Khayelitsha.
Lingelethu West police said officers were on patrol on
Wednesday morning, when they responded to a complaint on Japhta K Masemola
road, where they found the body of a 43 year old man who sustained gunshot
wounds inside a motor vehicle.
‘’The victim was declared deceased on the scene by the
medical personnel. An adult man who is believed to be the passenger also sustained
gunshot injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical
treatment. The motive for this attack possible robbery,’’ said Warrant Officer
Joseph Swartbooi, Western Cape police spokesperson.
