It’s been another bloodshed weekend across the Cape.

Police are investigating a murder which claimed the life of a 46-year-old man who is wheelchair-bound in Eastridge, Mitchell’s Plain on Saturday. Then, an 18-year-old man boy was shot in Lentegeur, on Sunday night.

‘’ Lentegeur police are investigating an attempted murder case following a shooting incident on Sunday at around 20:50 in Blokombos Street, Lentegeur… According to reports police members attended to the crime scene where upon arrival they were informed by the community members that the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The unknown suspect/s who fled the scene are yet to be arrested,’’ said Anelisiwe Manyana, Western Cape police spokesperson.

Grassy park police are also investigating a triple murder that occurred in Parkwood on Sunday night.

Western Cape police said the trio aged between 30 and 40, were sitting outside a house when unknown suspects opened fire on them from a white vehicle.

‘’The victims were sitting outside a residence in Kiewiet Way, Parkwood, at approximately 19:50 when unknown suspects opened fire on them from a white vehicle. The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting. A fourth victim, aged 24, sustained injuries but declined medical assistance from emergency services at the scene,’’ said Colonel Andrè Traut, Western Cape police spokesperson.

Police are investigating a murder after a 25-year-old woman was shot and killed near the Mfuleni police station, on Monday afternoon. Police said the motive behind the attack, which occurred in Bentley Road, Blue Downs, is being probed

‘’at about 12:10… Police members responded to a complaint of a shooting and upon arrival on the scene they found the victim inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds to her body. The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The motive for the attack forms part of the police investigation and arrests are yet to be made,’’ said Sergeant Wesley Twigg, Western Cape police spokesperson.
