Shots rang out at Kleinvlei SAPS

Shots rang out at the Kleinvlei police station on Wednesday night.

‘’Shortly before midnight last night, Kleinvlei police station came under attack when unidentified assailants opened fire on the building from a charcoal-coloured VW Polo. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The incident resulted only in structural damage to the facility,’’ said Colonel Andrè Traut, Western Cape police spokesperson.

Police  said the case has been handed over to the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI).

Bush Radio News reached out to the DPCI better known as the Hawks, who confirmed that they are investigating the matter.

‘’We are investigating the case and request time before sharing any information pertaining to any possibilities,’’ said Warrant officer Zinzi Hani, Hawks spokesperson in the Western Cape.
