The city centre will be closed off to traffic when two weeks of festivities will take place in December.
Organisers of the Adderley Night market ,which will take place from December 16 to 30 ,told a daily newspaper that the streets of Adderley and Darling would be decorated with Christmas lights. Over a hundred jewellery, clothing and food stalls will be placed all over.
The event will also host a hundred new crafters in the craft market initiative giving them a chance to impress people with their talents.
Market operator Merle Falken says this event will give rise to economic opportunity as well as employment for traders, entertainers and the staff of the event.
Lots of visitors will be expected to flow into Cape Town during this period which will be the hotspot next month.
