# The Vuka-Via Culture Club presents a fundraiser in aid of community upliftment through art and sport sponsored by Zula Bar where it will also be hosted. It will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 20:30. The admission is R20. For details contact Amina on 072 468 7269.
# Breaking the silence hosted by the People Opposing Women Abuse, Women’s writing Anthology is now available. The deadline for this years competition is Wednesday, September the 12th. Call Carrie Shelter on 011 642 4345 to enter.
# Traders are invited to apply for a stall at the Adderley street night market which will take place from December the 17th until December the 30th. Only locally made crafts, gifts, food, jewellery, clothing, homeware and garden accessories will be considered. Contact Zolani Zenzile on 021 419 1881 for details and application forms.
# The 7de Laan Community Singkoor will be having a minstrial themed karaoke on Friday July the 27th at 7:30 at the Lobelia Hall in Woodlands. The cost is R20, you can call 082 574 8463 or 084 402 2365
# The Volunteer Wildfire Services is recruiting members for its unit in preparation for the fire season. Anyone interested must be 18 years or older, live in Cape Town and be available to assist. Call Rob Erasmus on 021 715 3915 or call 083 411 3378.
