The Council of Education Ministers held a special meeting on Wednesday to discuss the strategy towards the national recovery plan.
The primary aim of the meeting was to join approaches towards the recovery plan for education following the recent strike action by teachers
The recovery plans developed in each province were examined to make sure that they fall in line with the national recovery plan.
“These plans are tailored to intensify the learner support strategies developed in the national plan,” says spokesperson for education Lunga Ngqeneglele.
“The meeting agreed that there could be no link between the recovery plan and the rule no work, no pay”, Ngqeneglele.
