Residents in Philippi East are fed-up over the power cuts in their area, after they have been without electricity since the weekend.
Five streets in the Lower Crossroads area were left in the dark since Saturday.
According to residents, numerous calls were made to Eskom to send a technician, but their attempts were unsuccessful.
“Regional management is investigating the cause of the problem to find out exactly what caused this dilemma,” says Eskom Distributional Regional spokesperson, Mbulelo Mvana.
“Our technicians are also working hard to restore the electricity supply to the area as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to the residents of Philippi East,” says Mvana.
Meanwhile residents are still waiting for their electricity problem to be solved.
