Grassy Park police forum concerned

The Grassy Park Community Police Forum has expressed its disappointment in the police by saying that police authorities are bringing darkness in the fight against crime.

This follows after police officers are being arrested for defeating the ends of justice, bringing concerns to communities that those entrusted with the task of bringing wrong-doers to book are themselves being arrested.

“When the NPA thinks it has a case to seek warrants of arrest for the nation’s chief crime fighter then it is really a dark day for this country,” says chairperson of the Grassy Park Community Police Forum Philip Bam.

The police forum believes that its time for a commission of enquiry into systems, procedures and organisational culture within the SAPS with a view of serious change recommended.
