Residents of Bishop Lavis can expect low water pressure and in some areas no water at all between 10:00am and 3pm on Thursday (17 January 2008). According to Charles Cooper, from the City of Cape Town, City Water Services need to repair a valve on the pipeline supplying water to the suburb.
“There might be a temporary discolouration of the water once the supply is restored. This is not dangerous, it will clear up pretty soon ,” says Cooper.
He goes on to say that if taps are opened during the interruption, you should ensure that they are closed again.
“If a tap is left open when the supply is restored, and nobody is at home, this water will go to waste and it will appear on your monthly water bill,” explains Cooper.
City Water Services regrets any inconvenienced caused.
