An 8-month-old baby boy has been reported missing on Tuesday morning after his grandparents noticed that he had disappeared from their Bonteheuwel home.

According to police the disappearance comes after the grandparents took in a 16 year-old girl who they found near a casino in Goodwood.

It is believed that the girl was in search of shelter for the night.

“However the elderly couple later discovered that their grandson and the girl have been missing,” says police spokesperson, Bernadine Steyn.

“The name of the 16 year old girl is unknown. She is 1.6m tall, slender built has long blonde hair and brown eyes,” says Steyn.

A case of abduction is being investigated.
