The 8-month-old baby boy from Bontehuwel that went missing from his grandparents home, has been found unharmed by police on Tuesday evening.
Callum Britz was reported missing after his grandparents noticed that he had disappeared from their home.
Police officials arrested the 15-year-old suspect at about 19:15 for abduction at her parent’s house in Brooklyn, Bonteheuwel.
According to police spokesperson Bernadine Steyn the baby boy’s grandparents took in the girl who they found near a casino in Goodwood.
It is believed that the girl was in search of shelter for the night.
“The police found the child after they received a tip-off from members of the public,” says Steyn.
The baby boy was reunited with his mother and grandparents.
The suspect will appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate's Court on Wednesday January, 16.
