Illegal Council property uncovered by Copperheads in Macassar

A Macassar scrap yard dealer was arrested for illegally being in possession of council property. The Cable Theft task team- the Copper Heads- swooped in on the scrap yard on Saturday morning.
“We found a large number of drain covers and cast iron covers that belongs to the council. The owner of the scrap yard was arrested and is being processed,” says Chairperson of the Copperheads, Councillor Pieter van Dalen.
