The National Sea Rescue Institute is urgently appealing to anyone with information on the whereabouts of 50 year-old Johan Pretorius from Doon Side, Amanzimtoti, Kwa-Zulu Natal who went missing on Thursday after he had gone out fishing on a sea-kayak.
“Pretorius is suspected to have gone fishing alone at 05h00 Thursday morning from Pipeline Beach, Toti, and was due to return at about midday but has failed to return,” says NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon.
He adds that nothing has been found and police are investigating the matter, “it’s not certain the circumstances surrounding his disappearance”.
Lambinon urges anyone with information to contact the police. The search is set to continue.
