South Africa’s first non-white rugby coach Peter de Villiers has managed to survive the latest bid to oust him and apologised yesterday for saying that he wanted to quite and give his job “back to the whites.”
In a meeting with SARU president Oregan Hoskins, the coach admitted that his statement was a “wild generalisation.” The statement was made in the wake of the blackmail of an alleged sex tape.
